The East Freehold Fire Company provides fire protection to the eastern portion of Freehold Township. State Highway 9 northbound is the dividing line for the Freehold Township Fire Districts, although Route 522 southbound is considered Fire District # 1.

The Fire Company is completely equipped and trained for any emergency. Our Fire District includes the Northbound business district of Route 9, the 33 bypass from Route 79 east and several county offices and institutions, all of which may require specialized fire and rescue equipment and skilled personnel whenever the need arises. So far in 2009 the EFFC responded to  over 375 assignments in fire District 2 and in neighboring communities.

Our members are totally prepared for anything. Of course, prepareness cost money and we have to be able to meet the cost of this readiness. Although it is true that the Tax payers of Freehold Township District # 2 provide a large portion of our income through local fire taxes, it is also true that, each year the company has to raise funds beyond its tax income to maintain itself in first class condition.

We are a 100 % volunteer organization and give our time freely to our community. Training and responding to calls is very demanding in itself without the added burden of raising funds. The members of the East Freehold Fire Company wish to thank all of those who have supported us over the years so that we can continue to provide the best possible service to the residence of our community.
