If your interested in joining the East Freehold Fire Company, stop by our firehouse, located at 191 Dutch Lane Road on any Wednesday evening and pick up an application for membership. You must reside either in our Fire District (Fire District #2) or  no more then 1 mile from any of the Freehold Township District # 2 borders.

After you fill out your application you will be required to go to the Fire Commissioners physician and pass a physical (at the Commissioners expense). Once you pass your physical you will be called by the membership committee for an interview.  During the interview you will be told of the requirements that are required of you to be a member of the fire company. Once the interview is completed your name is read at the next company meeting and you are a probationary member of the East Freehold Fire Company.

Requirements

During the interview given by the Membership Committee you will be told of one of the most important policies that  is mandated by the State of New Jersey. You will be required to attend the Monmouth County Fire Academy for training. Training will be on either Saturday or Sunday for 11 weeks, 8 hours a day (once again at the Commissoners expense). All new firefighters  are required to pass this course before becoming a active member of the fire company.
